With the Side by Side Difference feature you can check for plagiarism and difference between a Source Text (A) and a Target Text (B). Software look for similarity in target with respect to the source. In addition, there is a Flip option that is shown with a symbol between the two text box fields that lets you swap the source and target text as needed.
Freelance writers, content writers, bloggers and researchers often write on similar topics as that is their area of expertise and interest. That means that it becomes more likely to accidentally self-plagiarize. However, it’s quite easy to avoid that because the Side by Side Difference feature is perfectly built for that.
You can check an older publication with the new updated version you are writing or compare and contrast two drafts of the same document to review edits and changes in a more detailed and highlighted user interface to make the whole process easier.
You can manually type or paste the text or automatically insert text by clicking Load Document for both the Source and Target box fields. You can also use the Flip Document feature to swap the source and target content in order to find out the actual original source of the content between the two documents.
The software is compatible with leading popular file types like .DOCX, .DOC,.TXT, .HTML, .RTF, .PDF.
To check the plagiarism (once content is loaded on both sides), click on “Check Plagiarism” button to check duplicate content. The results will be indicated by highlighted text showing matching phrases, sentences, or words. Have a look at the screenshot to get the picture and visual presentation.
You can download these results in both Word and PDF formats by clicking Export Results. The report you see will have the content detected for duplication highlighted in yellow for you to review and analyze the difference between the source and target documents as well as assess the content that was matched for duplication.
